Genesis Invitational 2020: Overview
The 2020 Genesis Invitational feels like the true, pardon the pun, but the true genesis of this year’s PGA Tour season. We have had several tournaments with some big names including the Tournament of Champions from Maui as well as Torrey Pines just down the coast in San Diego but this week, we have a course that is on par with a major and the field doesn’t disappoint in the. With nine of the world’s top ten golfers set to tee it up in the Pacific Palisades, the field at the 2020 Genesis Invitational is absolutely stacked. I’m talking comparable to any major or WGC event. Brooks Koepka isn’t even among the top-six betting favorites to win the golf tournament.
Golf is an all-year sport and that allows us to enjoy some of the finest plays without any interruptions. The Genesis Invitational, part of the PGA Tour, is part of that never-ending golf saga that will reunite the likes of Rory Mcllroy and Tiger Woods at the Rivera Golf Course on February 13.
The eventruns through February 16, offering us four full days of golf action and as tothe golfers themselves – an opportunity to take a bite out of the massive $9,300,000prize purse. There are quite a few top players coming back into the event, toname Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka, Jason Day, Dustin Johnson and Bubba Watson.
Before we dive down to the nitty-gritty, let’s have a quick look at what the current Genesis Invitational 2020 odds sit at.

Tiger Woods Back to the Genesis Invitational
Make no mistake, it’s going to be a massive event with 120 players swinging away at the Rivera Golf Course to pull themselves forward and closer to the final hole. Tiger Woods will be making his third start this season, attracting the crowds.
But thenagain, nobody is really surprised to see him there as he has already participatedin the event ten times. True, he hasn’t really won in the past 10 or so years, but that hasn’t put him off the idea to at least try.
Genesis Golf Tournament 2020 Odds Nfl
So, what are Woods’ chances looking at the Genesis Invitational? Decent to say the least, but he is not historically known to dominate the field. Back in 1998 and 1999, though, Woods did pull two back-to-back runners-up but nothing more impressive since, at least not in Los Angeles.
Bubba Watson: The Reigning Champion
BubbaWatson is indeed areigning champion and while he has taken 8 years to establish himself as athree-time winner and twice the Top 10 finisher, he has done it and is so farthe only person to have the same track record.
Watsonadded the title in 2014, 2016 andfinally in 2018, which definitely gives him a bit of an edge all thingsconsidered.
Dustin Johnson: A Worthy Pick
Genesis Golf Tournament 2020 Winner
Dustin Johnson has won the invitational only once – in 2017, but he also finished the runner-up twice in 2014 and 2015. Everything indicates that he is quite capable to make his way into the finals of any big golf competition.
Genesis Golf Tournament 2020 Odds Predictions
His 2020stats is a bit middling so far, with a T32 finish in the AT&T Pebble BeachPro-Am and T7 in the Sentry Tournament of Champions.
Brace for the Temperatures
Los Angeles is generally warm, but the 2019th edition of the tournament was marked by brass monkey’s weather with the temperatures dropping well below golfers’ comfort zone, and the wind mercilessly setting off the ball away from the holes.
It was a sight to behold. This year field reunites some of the finest names to mention still Bryson DeChambeau, Jason Day, Paul Casey, Matt Kuchar, Marc Leishman, and many others.
